I’ve converted about a dozen of these to LED. This is the first one that I haven’t had to break loose from the mounting base. All 4 bolts turned with just a bit of oil on them. Usually, some or all bolts have rusted & frozen. Heads break off. I will convert this tonight, give it new bolts & reinstall it Thursday morning.
Other than the bolt issue, these Lithonias are the best bollards I’ve ever seen. Sturdy aluminum tubes & good hardware. They have been beat & battered unmercifully by lawn mowers for 20 years but somehow survived & can be repaired well.
I think I posted before how I repair mounting bases with crisscross brackets I get made at our metal shop. This is the first time I haven’t needed them.
