Bolt Joining busbar with dissimilar metals.

Greetings gang at work we have a short 1/4" X 3 " busbar tin plated AL and a tin plated CU busbar we want to bolt to.
We'll need to machine a hole (9/16") for some 1/2 bolts to join these busbars.
Part of the bolt will be in contact with AL and part with CU, is this acceptable for a standard 1/2" bolt?

I doubt that the bare area of the busbar inside the hole would be an issue, unless the bus is in a wet area.

no galvanic reaction, you are fine. The more surface area the better.

Maybe drill your hole oversized then center the bolts so they aren't touching the sides.
