Bond Bushing for Greenfield Terminating at Plastic Box?

60 amp circuit, 6AWG conductors and a 10AWG EGC inside.

EMT coming from a bonded 1900 box to greenfield to plastic housing of the EV charger.

The conduit is not being used as an EGC as we are using the 10AWG inside.

Does the greenfield need a bonding bushing inside the charger or is its connection with the bonded EMT adequate for bonding the greenfield itself?

 
Yes it’s bonded to the emt with the listed connector between the emt and the FMC.

The confusion I guess is between an EGC or simply bonding.

The FMC listing states it can be used as “As a grounding conductor for lengths up to 6 feet (20A max) as per NEC 250.118(5)”. But we’re not using it as an EGC.

What if this was routed in the other direction. Bonded 1900 box > FMC > EMT > Plastic Charger equipment. Is the bond adequately carried through the FMC to the EMT in that scenario with 60 amp circuit inside?

You’re bonded at rhe 1900 box the emt is bonded to the fmc and the wire type egc bonds the 1900 box and terminates on the equipment grounding terminal of the evse m
Your good no bonding bushing /jumper required
 
I usually add a lug to the 1900 with a green screw at the appropriate tap and run that through the FMC to the EVSE terminal, if I don't want to pull from the panel. Sometimes it's just simpler to skip the 1900 and pull from the panel, 30ft of #10 isn't that much.
 
I doubt an EVSE is a 'outlet or device box', I think of it more as equipment.
For a outlet of device box that falls under 314.3, exceptions 1 or 2 I'd say each nonmetalic box needs a integral bonding means inside the box.

Exception 1 just says 'internal'. Like, a bonding jumper between grounding bushings.

Yessir that’s the way I read it as well and i actually spoke to Ryan a couple weeks ago in regards for 314.3exception 1 and he confirmed the rules intent is to keep everything electrically continous and the internal method of bonding between the entries is the wire type egc which extends into the plastic enclosure and that satisfies exception 1 , but he did agree the langauge needed work and it’s been re written for 2016 and they moved the rule to 250.109(b)
