Bonding a Pool

Thanks to eveyone that responded to my previous rookie pool wiring questions. Now I have some more that seem different enough to start a new thread.

My customers pool is being renovated. Previously it had a #8 CU running around the pool and the assumption is that it connects to the reinforcement rods of the vertical walls but it did not connect to the ladder or handrail. Both of these items are being relocated so connecting to them will not be a problem.

What I am not clear on is how to bond the steel wire mesh for the new concrete apron.

Does the #8 go under the apron and connect at four equally spaced points around the perimeter?

Does the #8 have to be buried a certain distance below the dirt? Or can it just run on top of the reinforcing mesh and be cast into the concrete?

I'm really confused on when a copper grid is required under the decking. I assume I do not need to do that. Is that right?

4 points uniformly spaced 680.26 (2)

No. Not if there is steel wire mesh. If no mesh then you could use 680.26 (2)B alternative means. #8 following perimeter (24" off pool and 4" below sub grade), It can be on top of mesh
