I am looking for information about bonding requirements for swimming pools.

Specifically for deck equipment. For example, if I was installing a water slide on the deck of a pool, and the slide is entirely made of plastic, the only metal would be the stud anchors and nuts that are used to fasten the slide to the concrete. Do these bolts need to be bonded. I am wondering if there are exceptions based on the size of metal objects etc. If there are exceptions, where can I find documentation on this?

Thanks

Bill

When I used to wire pools we always attached anchor bolts (for diving boards) to the bonding grid. If the anchor bolts are over 4" long and extend into the pool structure for more than one inch they must be tied to the bonding grid.
