greetings, code lovers. I was told that you do not bond the ground and neutral at both the transformer and the main disconnect. The utility company always grounds their transformer, whether pole or pad mount. Does this mean I do not bond at my main disconnect? (Code references also please.)

Multiple bonds are permitted (required) on the line side of the service disconnect. The electrons know where they are at, so they only cause problems when there are multiple bonds on the load side of the service disconnect.

Is this because the conductors are unfused ahead of the disconnect, and therefore it's essential that we bond at all possible points where damaging fault current could flow?

I have no idea why it is required and safe on the line side of the service disconnect and prohibited and dangerous on the load side of the service disconnect.
