I m at a subpanel today and the ground was emt so there was no ground bar in the panel.
I'm adding a circuit with mc, so I have to land my wire ground to the enclosure. I didn't have a mechanical lug on me but I did have a bonding bushing,1/2 " in the truck.
Could I have put the bonding bushing on the lock ring typy mc connector and landed my ground to it?

My first thought was why no grounding bar at a subpanel... but if feed and all existing branch circuits are in EMT, not required.

I suppose the proposed bonding bushing would work, but it borders if not crosses the line to shoddy workmanship, IMO.

I went and got a mechanical lug , green screw and threaded it.
I was just curious as to if it was a violation.

I don't think that it's a violation unless of course you has issues with concentric KO's and over 250 volts to ground.

It didnt . Straight 1/2 " hole 120/208 .
It was a flushmount panel . The other circuits were emt. The inspector is super strict.
