Hi guy's i am doing my first bonding grid on a outdoor spa. Can anyone give me any pointers for this installation. I have to meet the landscaper tommorrow. He is not sure if he wants to remove the pavers and re-install them when im done or poor a concrete slab. Thanks in advance i have never done this before.

If the outdoor spa is sitting on pavers now and the perimeter is pavers as well, article 680.26(B)2(B) requires a perimeter conductor #8awg or larger to run around the perimeter of the spa 18-24" out and 4-6" deep. So you should be able to keep the pavers and not have to pour concrete. If the owner wants concrete, then rebar will have to be installed in the pour.

Rick,

Where do you find the requirement for using rebar within the concrete?

Actually there isn't a requirement for rebar, i associate rebar with concrete. A #8 awg will be required if rebar is not used.
