I have a 400amp panel separated from the house down the driveway 200' away:
With 1 200 amp breaker going out to the Main House.
And 1 200 amp breaker going out to the pool house.

Wire Configuration?? correct??

Ground rod at Main Service wire size?
2 Phases (2) 2/0, One Neutral 2/0 and one ground wire running to Main Water at house 1/0.

Same configuration running to pool house.

Is the correct? Is this the most economical way to run these wires given we need 200 amps at each location.
Is it necessary to run a water ground from the main panel or will it satisfy the code to run it from the sub panel attached to the house?

Help

You can only use 315. B 2 A for the main power feeder, which would be the house I'd day.
IE house is 4/0-4/0-20 and pool is 250/250/ 2/0 or so.
The service will need a grounding electrode system.
Each feeder should be 4 wire, while the NEC allows 3 wire this is a bad practice and will probably go away with the 2008 NEC. If you are in Washingting State this has not be allowed for 3 years.
Each building (pool) will require a grounding electrode system

You don't need 200 amps. Thats the size of your panel. Do you know the calculated load?

This makes no sense at all. What is a water ground? Water pipes are already grounded as they are in the ground.
