The floating docks I've been wiring have aluminum gangways from the fixed pier/bulkhead to the floating dock. This gets bonded to the electrical panel. We have not been bonding the aluminum hand rails on the fixed pier/walkways (and have never been gigged for not doing so). Now I'm seeing swim ladders (aluminum) being put on the end of the floaters, and I'm wondering if I need to bond that.

So, I'm asking the group, should the hand rails be bonded (20' sections of aluminum pipe pushed through holes in 4"x6" posts that are bolted to the sides of the fixed pier/walkways, 3 pipes through each post that the ends are concealed inside the post, so bonding work will be extensive {lot's of sections} and look detracting)?

Should the swim ladder be bonded? If so, with what size wire?
