Bonding mobile home steel stairs

Do you need to bond steel entry stairs to the mobile home if the mobile home is already bonded and grounded?

Not unless the stairs were within 5' of the pool.

Of course there is. The homeowner could wrap the stairs w/ Christmas lights, sheesh. :smile:

I say yes, look at 550.16(C)(1) I haven't inspected a mobile home,but have inspected many office trailers and always ask that the portable stairs be bonded.

I hope that I am not making up my own rules,as I try very hard not to do that.

I should add, if the stairs are properly secured to the bonded chassis no further bonding is required.
