. a transformer delta star is supplying a building switch gear. the client asked to remove the grounding cable from the transformer and run only the neutral and phase conductors.and make the neutral to ground bonding in the service switch gear inside the building instead of having it in the transformer. i am wondering the earth fault current going to be transferred to the transformer in case we have earth fault currents ? and if it violtaes the NEC - article 250. and if we install SPD in the switch gear as required shall it be affected by having the neutral and grounding bonded together inside the switcher or not ? –it is an american standard project follow the NEC code. also, NEC 285.28 calls that the SPD neutral and grounding wires shall be interconnected unless in case of a surge. would it be problem if this switchgear has a SPD installed in ? ( the transformer is apart of the project supplied by the owner not utility supply)
