To Bond, or not to Bond…..
So, can anyone clarify this with a code reference? I know that in a commercial setting it is possible and legal to have a main breaker panel sub-feeding a secondary mlo panel which would mean that they share the disconnect switch therefore one is an extension of the other and essentially they are the same panel with multiple cans.
Now, in a residential setting using an overhead feed 200 amp meter/main combo that utilizes the feed thru lugs to feed a second 200 amp panel fed with 4/0 al SER cable, would it not be necessary to bond grounded and grounding in BOTH panels? Based on the sub-feed cable being technically an extension of the main panels busbar.
