WE HAVE CLS 1 DIV1 ENCLOSURES AND OUR SOP CHECK LIST REQUIRES A BONDING BETWEEN THE ENCLOSURE BODY AND THE DOOR.
THE ENCLOSURES DID NOT COME WITH THE BONDING.

IS THIS A CODE REQUIREMENT? IF SO, CAN SOMEONE DIRECT ME TO THE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT IN THE CODE?

THANKS SO MUCH.

( I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CAPITAL LETTERS, TOO LATE TO REDO THE POST)

Would you have a picture of the enclosure and door(s)?

If there is a panelboard in the enclosure then 408.38 requires the enclosure to have a dead-front. A strap (wire or flexible tinned copper braid jumper) may be required to ensure the door is safe in case of ground faults.

Industrial Control Panels are addressed in 409. Much of it redirects to branch circuit and equipment type.

yes, cast aluminum. what if its cast iron?

I don't think it matters.

I don't recall ever seeing a door bonding wire on a cast enclosure. Not saying they are not there, but I cannot recall ever seeing one. but, maybe I just did not notice. I do not see inside of cast XP enclosures very often.
