I have a 40 foot long container (like you might see transporting goods via a cargo ship) designed internally as a living unit (bed, table, maybe a sink, etc.). This thing gets its own power panel that is fed from a distribution panel in a separate location. Now I put a second ?containerized living unit? on top of the first unit. It gets a panel of its own. Both panels have feeders (with EGCs) originating from the same distribution panel.

Question: Is there a requirement to ?bond? the two units together in some manner? Reference from article 250?

Out of curiosity, are the feeders the same size to both containers with the same size EGC's ?

read 215.6 (last sentence) , which sends you to 250.32(B), '...the equipment grounding conductor shall be used for the grounding or bonding of equipment, structures, or frames required to be grounded or bonded.
