Bonding overall power cable shield

They mistakenly ran a SHIELDED 480V 3/C 4/0 power cable w/ground to a vendor supplied panel from about 800 feet away. They don’t want to to replace the cable but the question becomes what to do with overall shield?
To avoid circulating voltage I’d bond it at the source end only and leave it floating at the vendor panel. Any thoughts?

Grounding a shield at both ends eliminates the capacitive coupling problem; the ground loop currents will be small provided the shield is terminated properly.
