Hi. I’ve installed an exterior main breaker For a single phase residential several times and can’t remember what I did for bonding the rigid nipple coming out of the bottom of the meter to the Myers hub on top of the main breaker enclosure.

I do remember once running conduit to the basement main breaker panel and installing a grounding bushing in the meter pan and the utility co wanted it removed (I think I remember).

Is the Myers hub on the exterior disconnect considered as an approved bonding technique?

I’m asking as Jersey just adopted the 2020 NEC

Thank you

If you are going into the top of a 3R panel, that would be a bolt on hub and that would take care of bonding the nipple screwed into it.

Sorry. Just came back to correct Myers hub to that connection hub.
Thank you for clarifying that that hub is approved for bonding.

Had some time to sit and google. Is this the Lug you speak of? I'm guessing then that any bonding would have to be done exposed on the outside of the enclosure. Is there no way to bond on the inside of enclosures with a rated myers hub? ALSO what is the piece on the inside used for? This one looks like it can move around but I see others that are solid and part of that internal lock nut piece.

Thank you
