Bonding water directly to GES

My water bond is right by where my ground rods are going, I am running a #4 copper for the GES (I don’t really stock #6). What I’m wondering is can I run a jumper from water pipe (first 5’ of entry to house) to ground rods, to panel or do I need to run my GES to the panel then a completely separate run of #4 from water pipe to panel. Thanks

I think what you have descibed is fine, That's using all #4. Try not to splice 250.64 (C)

No splice to the water pipe, that will be the GEC. After that you have bonding jumpers to the ground rods, those can be spliced.

I think that you meant GEC. Are you bonding the water pipe or is it an electrode?
