I am doing a house that has a detached garage & has a 50 amp sub panel in it. The main panel on the house has the water & gas bonded,The sub panel has 2 ccc,Neut & grnd. I did drive a ground rod at the garage but am uncertain as the garage does have gas & water( all are capped off). I am not fully understanding nec 250 If I need to bond the water & gas at the garage again as well.So many new things to learn yet in life. Thanks

The water needs to be bonded - 250.104(A)(1). If the underground portion is metal, than it is a grounding electrode that must be used - 250.52(A)(1).

The gas can be bonded with the EGC than supplies equipment connected to it - 250.104(B)

Yes. You can (and must) parallel the EGC with the piping. You can not parallel the neutral with the piping.

The EGC needs to be a better bond than the piping, and that the piping should never carry neutral current.
