Box extenders but not really...

What are these things called? Not the box extenders that you use when an outlet box is recessed a little too far back in the wall, but a whole nother box that you attach to run cable out of? Has knockout holes for NM connectors and conduit?

Saw a picture here many moons ago where someone had used about 20 of them one on top of the other. Found that quite hilarious, but can someone give me a proper name for them and possibly a link?

Thanks all.

As MC suggested, collar boxes are what those are called around here.

Yes... Thank you. That's what I was refering to. What we call extension boxes around here are these:

What I'm really trying to find is a single gang collar box with knockouts on the side for MC or romex cable. Say you wanted to pull the receptacle out of a wall outlet box and then run EMT along the wall to feed something else but you want to use the existing branch circuit wires that originally fed the receptacle.....

Thats what I'm looking for. Thanks all. You guys are helpful as always.

They do make them in a 1900 version with a single gang cutout in the back to attach to a concealed single box. I'll see if I can find who makes them.

Found them:
