Box Securing

The way the box is shown in this pic would always need aT-bar hanger to hold the box in place? How else could this box be secured?

The box can be attached to the structure ceiling above the "T"bar.

The way it is attached (as pictured) the lower ceiling HAS to be T bar. If it is hard lid ceiling then the box is not accessible.

There is no limits to the number of ways one could secrue it, but T-bar hanger is simplest and labor cost effective. It may only take 30 seconds to a minute to attach the box to the hanger and the hanger to the T-bars, but may take several minutes to fabricate most anything else. So a job where you will install several of them you likely plan ahead and have the T-bar hangers available. For an application where you sort of unexpectedly need to hang something in this ceiling - may still cost less to fabricate something with what is available then to run after a T bar hanger.
