Boxes and Troughs

Question came up in class I could not answer so would like some help. If a Straight pull reqires a box 8 times the diameter of the conduit and an angle or U pull requires a box 6 times the diameter why do they make a 4-11/16 box with 1 inch KO's?

See 314.28(A), it has to do with wires#4 or larger.

Your are welcome. Yeah, stuff like this happens to me all the time.

A good one to remember also is 312.8, splicing in a panel. If you do not read it all, you can misinterpret it easily.
