What is the difference between Branch Circuit and Feeder Circuit?
Simply put, a branch circuit is after the last overcurrent protective device (ocpd), with the exception of a supplementary ocpd. Feeder circuit is before last ocpd and after source disconnecting means. In some cases, a circuit can be both. What is the difference between Branch Circuit and Feeder Circuit?
I guess you mean the motor branch with fused disconnect...... In some cases, a circuit can be both.
I wasn't referring to any particular circuit, just a circuit which supplies both one or more loads and also branch ocpd's, such as a circuit with one or more taps requiring load end ocpd and say one or more receptacles. Not a common circuit design, but feasibly possible and compliant.I guess you mean the motor branch with fused disconnect.
