2008 NEC, Article 225.26 states that trees can't be used to support overhead conductors. However, I can't find a code article that permits or prohibits using a tree to support a branch circuit and an associated outside light. What am I missing?

It is in 410.

410.36 Means of Support.
(G) Trees. Outdoor luminaires and associated equipment
shall be permitted to be supported by trees.

FPN No. 1: See 225.26 for restrictions for support of overhead
conductors.

FPN No. 2: See 300.5(D) for protection of conductors.
