Is the "grounding lug" on the neutral bus of a 200A QO convertible mains panel suitable for use as the neutral connection for a branch circuit? If so, what is the current rating of said lug? Thanks

I don't understand your question. If it is on a neutral bar then why are you calling it a grounding lug? :-?

Becaust it is used to connect your GEC (to rod or pipe) to your panel when you aren't required to seperate them. It is next to the incoming neutral at the top of the bus.

I didn't see a label for this lug but I can check with SquareD rep.

Thx

That lug can be used for anything you want but check the panel for minimum and max. size. I use that for feeder neutrals that are larger than what will fix in the regular slots. I install GE panels and my #4 gec fits in the regular slots. #2 would need to go in the bigger lug.
