Breaker Cross Reference

Where might I find a breaker cross reference?

Since your question is very vague owns provided no specifics I'll take a guess. Each manufacturer would have their own that would be UL listed for use in their panels.
If you are looking to replace one manufacture's with another manufacture's product in a UL listed panel then the replacement breaker must be UL classified or use in that panel.

To expand on what others have said, You need to use a breaker that is UL listed (or classified) for use in the panel you are working on.

You can not use a Siemens Q120 breaker in a SQD Homeline panel they may fit / plug in, but you are breaking the UL listing.

We often find wrong breakers in panels, often times the buss bar is heated because the breakers from the wrong manufacturer were not designed with the same clamping pressure for the thickness of the buss in the others panel.

General rule of thumb: If it's Siemens use Siemens, if it's Homeline use Homeline, if it's GE use GE, you get the idea:happyyes:

PS: Cutler Hammer makes a line of UL classified breakers that will fit + are approved for use, in several other manufacturers panels. Check with your local Cutler Hammer distributor for sizes and information on what panels they are approved for.

Cutler Hammer CL is the classified one. It is listed to go into a lot of the common 1" breaker style panels, including Siemens/Gould, GE, Murray, and Sq D Homeline. Cutler Hammer BR looks just like it and is listed for Bryant and Westinghouse. Outside of those two, you're looking at a Connecticut Electric UBI breaker for the oddballs like FPE, Bulldog and Zinnsco.

Those last 3 should just have a panel changeout done though....
