Does anyone know if there is place to get breakers tested. I ask because a client wants to have breakers from a Zinsco panel board tested. I tried to tell him that it was best to replace the whole thing.

About 10years ago I had a quote of $80/ea for testing miniature molded case breakers.

It has typically been cheaper to replace breakers smaller than 200A.

Each breaker mfg has different curves. How would you determine what’s correct? That it eventually trips, or is there a time limit?

The testing company uses the manufacturer's published TCC for each breaker.
