Bring up to code existing systems.

Need a little help with this one.

Do you have to bring existing conduit systems up to code if you pull in new cables/conductors?

Beside workmanlike manner is there anything else in the code?

I'll bet that's entirely up to your inspector. Personally, if I need to run a new circuit to a piece of equipment and the existing conduit is bent up or has broken connectors etc I won't pull my new circuit in it. It's then a customer choice: Preferably, they let me fix it or next best, I run a new conduit right beside it.
