Recent inspections on site revealed a significant amount of broken armoring at the cable gland. I am thinking this may be as a result of the installation but just wondering if anyone else has seen this and whether it could be more of a weak point and is typical after a cable has aged or becomes brittle with excessive UV exposure. The cables are in service more than 20 years..
