We are on the 2014 NEC. Receptacles in the utility room are to be AFCI & GFCI protected. Would the receptacle in the broom closet, then need to have dual protection or just AFCI protection? :?

Yes sir, single family dwelling. The closet is in the utility room.

You just need arc fault unless there is a sink nearby. Or if this is an unfinished basement you need gfi but not arc fault. What is in the utility room?
