Broward County Exam Applications

Hi all, I dont mean to sound foolish but for the life of me I am not able to find any applications for anything in Broward county. Let me first make sure I understand this procedure. To my understanding, after you have 8000 hours in the trade, you can "apply to take the test". Assuming this is correct, then you schedule a test and take it. Can someone please tell me(assuming what I said was correct) where I apply to take the exam...and please dont tell me the building department in my county, when I call them, they are clueless... any help would be greatly appreceiated...

You're right, it is tough to get any info in Broward County. I did do some google searches and found Professional Testing, Inc. 800-654-0021. They do the testing in your area. However, they say you must be pre-approved by the Broward County Building Board before you can sign-up for the exam. I did a google search to find the "Broward County Building Board" and came-up empty? I did find "Broward County Central Examining Boards". They mention contractor licenses, but I believe you're looking for the journeyman certification. Anyway, it's Saturday, so you'll have to wait until Monday to call.
