I have a pond water fountain set-up that has three motors rated @ 230V feed from a controler panel. The power available is 208V. the controler panel has a 120V time clock. I want to use a boost transformer to feed the panel but my understanding is they have no provision for a neutral which is needed for the timeclock and a contactor. Is it ok to supply the neutral from the 208V source straight through to the controler panel or do I need to install seperate boost transformers for each of the motor loads?

I agree with Larry a standard transformer would be a better choice.

Your voltage to neutral will have been raised on one or two legs depending if this is single or three phase.

Or you could do as you suggested and use buck boosts on each individual motor.
