I have a system 230 VAC 3ph supply. Each leg of supply is connected to a separate 1 kva buck boost transformer. the other leg of the primary side of the buck boost transformer is connected one of the three poles of the system disconnect. there is no connections to the secondary sides of the transformers.

What is the purpose of the transformers? Not sure what passing the feed through the primary side of transformer gives me.

Are you sure that you have buck/boost transformers? What you are describing sounds like some sort of filter inductor arrangement between you 3 phase supply output and your disconnect.

Could you post a schematic of the connections and perhaps a picture of the 'transformer' name plates?
