Buh-bye...Online NEC

Boooo....it looks like the NEC Plus website finally decided to make us pay to use the online book (NFPA 70 and 70E for $10/month). So for the 3-year cycle, that would be $360. The two real-life books cost $220. $360 is way too much for two books you can't tab, highlite, or just flat read where there isn't an internet connection.

I know it's a free market, but it still miffs me that I can't leave the book at work and still occasionally check code stuff at home.
 
You can still read the "real read" version online without paying. You just have to register and sign in.
 
Don, you are right. They must be working on their website today, because this morning, singing in would take me to pages asking me to buy books, subscribe to the site, etc...but it finally just took me to the free NEC.
