250.50 requires all electrodes present at a ‘building or structure served’ to be bonded together.
Art 100 provides definitions for ‘building’ and ‘structure’, but not for ‘served’. My understanding is ‘served’ could mean any building/structure that contains an electrical circuit and not necessarily a service panel or disconnecting means.
My main question is does a sub-building that is ‘served’ have to be bonded back to the main service electrode system, which could be many yards away? Or can it be ‘stand alone’ bonded to the local electrodes only without pulling a bonding conductor underground to the service?
