Hi sparky. I don't think we are "trigger happy" when it comes to cloasing threads. Saying that you love this forum is fine... we all do otherwise we wouldn't participate. I am certain that Chris closed your last thread for the same reason I am going to close this one. It isn't electrical related, and the rules of this forum don't allow irrelevant threads. There are many, many other sites that do, this just isn't one of them. With the amount of members that we have here, allowing nonelectrical threads would require about 50 more moderators, and it would dillute the forum. The same reasons that we all love this forum would go out the window if it become a free for all for people to post any topics that they like.
I appreciate your sentiments, and I'm sure Mike and the other moderators do as well. Its just that these threads have a tendency to get carried too far. When they do, somebody always gets upset because their post got deleted, or their post crossed the line and got the thread closed. It is easier to just nip these things in the bud and eliminate them straight away.
