bundling

at a recent meeting I attended the question of bundling came up. this was the dicussion. since bundling is not defined in article 100 of 2008 2005 and past codes you cannot apply it to derate cables etc. read scope of article 100. my comment was goto the dictionary an apply the defintion where it would apply to any code articles in question. I think this a no brainer

Bundled. Cables or conductors that are physically tied, wrapped, taped, or otherwise periodically bound together.

640.8 Grouping of Conductors.
Insulated conductors of different systems grouped or bundled so as to be in close physical contact with each other in the same raceway or other enclosure, or in portable cords or cables~~~

My definition:

Bundled. Cables or conductors that are physically tied, wrapped, taped, or otherwise periodically bound together without maintaining spacing of at least a distance equal to the diameter of the cable or conductor.
