We have a concrete encased PVC duct with 480V which will pass under a drive.
Table 300-5 calls for 24" minimum cover in Column 3 for nonmettalic raceway under driveways, parking lots etc. I've asked several engineers if there is a reduced depth allowed since we are encasing in concrete and none can come to a clear rule for below 600V.
Table 300-50 Minimum Cover Requirements for above 600V Exception No.2 seems to allow the reduction of cover 6" for every 2" of concrete protection.
What burial depth requirement would be correct for 480V feeders in concrete encased PVC under a drive or parking lot?
We've got a trech open waiting on conduit and an interpretation
