Bus Drop

What is the deal on bus drop I can find next to nothing about it in the code book, I was told installation as far as termination is up to the authority having jurisdiction

368.56 b is all I can find. Yet every other cable is listed. I can not find a single thing for bus drop cable.. Does it require a twist lock, can it be directly terminated.

400.7(B) (Must use plug)exception: as permitted in 368.56
368.56(B) says extra hard usage is permitted from bus to your equiptment.

So it can be either cord and plug, or directly wired.

I have always seen twist-lock used where plugs are used, but I believe direct connections are much safer because no one can unplug it under a load.
