I have bus duct shown on my one-line going from switchboard to ATS. Usually they bus duct is implemented as a riser with bus duxt switches etc. You can’t land the bus duct right on the equipment correct? You need a “cable tap” box to transition over to pipe and wire? Thanks.

You can transition with a cable tap box to pipe and wire, or the equipment vendor on either end can provide the busway flanges designed specifically for that manufacturers busway detail.

Since it requires coordination, many folks do the cable tap box, because it doesn't require as much coordination. BUT, you end up with a short paralleled set of conductors that are often slightly different in length (outer sets versus inner sets) and since they are relatively short lengths, you get an imbalance in current sharing among the paralleled sets. So consider adding a set of paralleled conductors.
