BusBar clearance

Hello

I was wondering what the clearance is on a 208 V Busbar?

Right now there is a metal hopper leaning right on the busbar; its been moved so its no longer leaning on it but its still very close, but I was wondering how much clearance a 208 V Busbar requires?

so there is no danger or arcing on an enclosed busbar when a metal container is set up right next to it?

Im just curious because the previous electrician at my work place thought it was a potentially catastrophic issue in the notes he wrote before leaving, he just didnt mention a minimum distance and I could not find anything exact in the NEC

You do mean busway, i.e. enclosed busbar, right?

The busway [enclosure] is supposed to be grounded. There should be no arcing or shock potential. If there is arcing or shocks occurring, you have a potentially greater problem than a metal hopper up against it.
