Fully aware of the space protect that must be provided for working clearance for 1600A. Plug-In busway... My question concerns minimum clearance distance required for a mechanical duct running perpendicular above the busway... Article 110, Table 110.26 for working clearances, makes refernces to the minimun clear distnace required on one or both "sides" of the exposd live parts, but makes no reference to the top or bottom of that same condition... Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance...

Are there any exposed live parts on top of the busway? Is it likely (or even possible) to perform live work on energized parts that can be accessed from the top of the busway? If the answers are both "no," then the clearance requirements of 110.26 do not apply.
