Need a little help here, I would like to add a horn in our warehouse that will sound when the building is on em. power(generator).Generator tech has gave us a set of contacts that will close when gen is running(com and n/c),I have a 120v horn(federal 350) that I want to sound when running and use a push button to silence it. I know we are going to need a relay of some sort I am just not sure how to get this to all work together.
Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

Use the normally closed contact in the relay to switch the horn, and your silence button is essentially a "start" button for the relay with another normally open contact of the relay used as a holding circuit. Power from generator and if generator power is lost, the relay drops out and resets.

Yep that'll work,,,,,,,,, If it were mine I'd use aux 120v control power(not generator power) and add a power available status light that had a push to test contact which could be used for a horn test.
