We have MicroMotion flow meters (1700 series transmitters on top of the F1000 sensor elements) that have 4-20ma outputs and take 24vdc power installed in a C1D2 area. They are rated C1D2, but not Non-Incendive.
The area is outside so the rigid metal conduit (RMC) comes from the tranmitter (via 3ft LFMC 'sealtite' at the xmitter end) to a junction box on the skid and then all wires come back into the building via another RMC.
I'm pretty sure that I don't need seal offs at the transmitter, only where the RMC (from the JB) crosses the boundry wall into the GP safe area. Right ? Or are there other things to consider ?
