hello

It may be an unfounded rumor, but word on the street has it that the CA exam will add a hands on component to the test in 2013. For example, wire a motor controller, use a sidewinder, etc

Have you heard anything about this?

thank you

The test is timed, I do not believe it would be feasible to ad.

The hands on should be accomplished during the 8000 hours of on the job training during the apprenticeship.

A very good idea, indeed. I would expect that if one holds a journeyman electrician's card, it means one has enough hands on experience to pass that component of the test whether it was part of the test or not.

I wish CA journeyman and the electrical contractor test were as hard as some of the other states. These tests are a joke.
