i've been working on this for a while now, and finally
the millwrights got the receiving hopper resized and
into place, which changed all the geometry about where
these two cables would go, and how this would work.

i had to order the cable and put it in around christmas,
with no clear idea of how this was all going to fit and
line up.

the problem is that the cable has to hang over the
pivot point of the stacking conveyor so the thing doesn't
come up short or drag on the ground. and the gravel
discharge can't hit the cable, or it'll die in a few minutes
at best.

the big cable is 3C 500 mcm fine stranded CU, mine rated.
4" in diameter. the little one is 2 1/2" in diameter. here's what
i made for support. the frame is 3/8" plate, with strut, and a
stiffener on the outside to prevent flex. the rollers are UHMW
polyethylene, with stainless shoulder bolts for axles.

i got really lucky, thank god.. the stacker moves thru about a
30 degree incline, and i was afraid the cable would come up
short, or drag. the stacker turns thru a 270 degree arc,
and extends to 150'. 400 amps of 480 for power.

first test drive is in a couple weeks. 80,000 tons in 24 hours.
