Someone refresh my memory in regards to supporting cable on walls and ceilings with nylon cable ties. If memory serves me right it cannot be done, but what article? This is for heliax coax in a biz.

As long as it's not strapped to conduits the NEC is more or less silent on this.

You would need plenum rated ties if the space is used for air handling.

Bob, that is what I have picked up on so far in 725.58. Just seems like years ago I got my hands slapped for using a special cable tie with the hole on the locking device for a support screw.

Reason I asked is I am helping a friend with a Wi-Fi project at his biz.

There is no restriction other than the use of plenum rated ties ($$$) in a plenum space. Sounds like you had an inspector that was a little "picky".

Unless ty-raps are needed I generally just use a piece of tie wire anyway. Cheaper and nobody can complain.
