I work in the food industry and see installations using cable tray everywhere. I also see IFM cable such as the EVT005 and EVT392 used in cable trays by everyone. The cables are used to go from the PLC to instrumentation such as tank level switches, proximity switches, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitter, etc.

Looking at the wiring methods allowed for cable tray in Table 392.10(A), which method includes these IFM cables? I am struggling to line up the technical details and classifications listed on the IFM website to those methods in Table 392.10(A).

Any help is appreciated.

If I am not mistaken IFM cable falls under Article 725 listed as 'Communications raceways' in table 392.10(A).
Its a class 2 cable.
