Hi
How can I insert / attach a PDF-catalog in 2007 CAD DWG?????

Thank you:?:(

If it's AutoCAD, hit the "Insert" tab. When the banner changes look for "PDF Import" about halfway across to import it into model space.

I convert PDF to PNG and insert the PNG. PDF seem to add a lot more overhead and back when I ran Autocad it tended to insert at 72 dots per inch (low resolution FAX quality) and it was very hard to scale. From my experience PNG is far easier to work with.

The only problem with underlays is that you can't move the drawing or the pdf once you've done the insert.

Sure you can? Not sure if you mean "move the pdf around in the drawing" or if you mean "move the file location"?

But you can do either. If you move the file location, you just have to use a relative path, or re-path the file after its moved.

I usually use the xref manager (just type xref).
