Hi All, Glad to be on board!

I am trying to Calculate a Primary URD conductor. The power utility company will not allow anything less than a 15kv #2 wire, which the load is far to big for anyway im sure.

It's a 3-PH feed, right now a 300 amp load, but will go up to an 800 amp load @ 277/480 to accomodate future expansion. There is a 750 kva xfmr we will use to accomodate any load needed. The primary urd will be about 300' long.

Thanks!

Not sure what you are asking exactly. What is the primary voltage? 13.8kv? 2.4 kV? I would think you need the utility help given it's their standards.

Regards,

If you are trying to determine a conductor size, the max load on the 750 kva
is 35 amps at 12.46 kv. #2 AL will be rated at about 130 to 150 amps depending if its in conduit or direct buried. Info from Okonite Catalog.
